OPWSA Wines Among the Vines Fundraising Event 2019
On Saturday, June 15th, OPWSA held our 4th Annual Wines Among the Vines fundraising event.
The rain held off...for the most part, so we were able to enjoy a wonderful day and evening touring wineries in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
We started the day with a wine tasting and lunch at Queenston Mile Vineyard, followed by a tour and junk food and wine pairing at Konzelmann Estate Winery. OPWSA Co-Chair, Rob Pividor, entertained the guests on a bus tour of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and we stopped at a couple of spots to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
In the evening, we headed to our main event at Creekside Estate Winery where we had a sparkling cider reception, with a wine and food pairing. The evening event was also accompanied by a live band, Educated Guess.
We had the privilege of recognizing a truly remarkable member of our community, Gary Ouellette. Gary is one of the main reasons why OPWSA has been able to have 12 years of PWS Week at Shadow Lake Centre. He is also a former OPWSA Board Member, and continues to be a supporter of OPWSA and our initiatives.
Former OPWSA President and current Shadow Lake parent volunteer, Jan Beddoe, presented Gary with an award for outstanding contribution to OPWSA and Shadow Lake, and a card made with love from all of the PWS Week at Shadow Lake campers.
This event brought together a great group of families and friends in the PWS community attend the event, and also gave us the opportunity to welcome some new families and friends to our community.

Thank you to Queenston Mile Vineyard, Konzelmann Estate Winery, and Creekside Estate Winery for doing such an amazing job hosting our group! Thank you to Educated Guess for keeping us entertained and dancing with your sweet tunes. Thank you to Kernels Popcorn and New Standard Beer for donating give aways to all of our guests! Thank you to Niagara Food Specialties, Konzelmann Estate Winery, Holly Sine and Jennifer Coens for donating raffle prizes. All of you contributed to making this event a huge success!
