First Trike Program
The Ontario Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (OPWSA) is delighted to announce our First Trike Program to support kids with PWS in being active and living a healthy lifestyle. OPWSA is offering to loan a new trike to children with PWS, ages 2 to 5 (born in 2011 and 2014) for one year or until a family no longer requires the trike.
OPWSA has trikes to give away to the first 5 applicants in each age category. Complete the application form and submit it to OPWSA. Applications will be processed in the order that they are received.
Ages 2 to 4
The trikes that are being loaned to children ages 2 to 4 are the YBike Trainer. The YBike Trainer helps children develop control and self-confidence while learning to ride. This safe and innovative ride-on helps kids learn to balance and increases motor skills while they have fun!

Ages 4 and 5
For children ages 4 and above, the Tricart will be loaned. Durable, stable, and reliable, these Tricarts are built to meet the demands of mutli-user environments! This trike features an ergonomic design, rust-resistant powder coated frames, real ball bearings in the front wheels, and slip-resistant pedals and handgrips. This variation on the traditional trike design features a standard-positioned seat that adjusts up and down easily.
