OPWSA's 1K A Day Challenge for PWS Champions
Thank you to everyone who took part in OPWSA's August 1K A Day Challenge for PWS!
Throughout the month of August, families and friends of OPWSA were encouraged to go outside and enjoy a walk or a hike for at least 1 km every day or participate in 30 minutes of activity, like swimming or bikin.
The goal is simple...go outside and enjoy a walk or a hike for at least 1 km every day, or participate in 30 minutes of physical activity, like swimming or biking, throughout the month of August. If the weather isn't cooperating, or if getting outside isn't possible, we still encourage you to participate in 30 minutes of actvitiy from the comfort of your home.
Participants followed along on OPWSA's Facebook Page and Instagram, and shared their progress. Those who completed the 1K A Day Challenge every day in August received a certificate, and a small prize in the mail. Please note that only those living in Ontario were eligible to receive the prize, and those living outside of Ontario received their certificate by email.
