Due to the growing concern with COVID-19, OPWSA has decided to cancel our Toronto Family Gathering.
Thank you to all of the families who were able to join us at our London and Burlington Family Gatherings. It was so great connecting with all of you.
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us on Saturday, June 15th, 2019 for an afternoon and evening of fun, food, friends, family, and wine at OPWSA's Wines Among the Vines fundraising event. Thank you to Queenston Mile Vineyard, Konzelmann Estate Winery, and Creekside Estate Winery for doing such an amazing job hosting our group! Thank you to Educated Guess for keeping us entertained and dancing with your sweet tunes. Thank you to Kernels Popcorn and New Standard Beer for donating give aways to all of our guests! Thank you to Niagara Food Specialties, Konzelmann Estate Winery, Holly Sine and Jennifer Coens for donating raffle prizes. All of you contributed to making this event a huge success!
OPWSA held our Fall Family and Caregiver Conference on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. It was an incredible day of learning for the parents and caregivers in our General Conference, and a day of exploration and activities for the individuals with PWS and their siblings in the Fun Friends Program.

OPWSA Wines Among the Vines Fundraising Event
On August 11th, families and friends came together for OPWSA's Family Fun Day with the Jays. It was a close game, but unfortunately the Jays lost 1-0 to the Yankees. While we couldn't pull out the win, we had beautiful weather, good seats, and we were surrounded by great people!

PWS Awareness Month
Throughout May, OPWSA ran our PWS Awareness campaign on our Facebook Page and Instagram where each day we are sharing a fact about PWS, as well as a PWS Everyday Challenge. The challenges encouraged individuals with PWS and their families to get involved in a variety of activities such as walking 2km, completing puzzles, other physical and mindfulness activities, arts and crafts, and sharing recipes (for parents and caregivers). Thank you to those that participated along with us and shared your journey with us.
1K A Day Challenge for PWS Champions
OPWSA would like to encourage individuals with PWS and their families and friends to take part in our 1K A Day Challenge that will be taking place throughout August, 2020.
